Devlog #3: Sky and Wall
Inspired from classic 80s outrun style artwork I worked on two things: Getting the typical outrun sun into the sky and creating a skyline and mountains in the background. I think it turned out really good as you can see in the next screenshot.
In order to limit reachable map areas and deal with the problem of what happens when a player falls down into the void I created a simple barrier to either kill or just block the player.
